Nod for plan to set up shops, parking at three Metro stations

LUCKNOW: The board meeting of the Smart City Limited on Monday approved 'urban mobility node', a plan to provide parking facility, public transportation and food kiosks at Lucknow Metro's three underground stations - Hazratganj, Sachivalaya and Hussainganj.
General manager of Smart City Limited told reporters that the facilities will be made available to commuters using Lucknow Metro and Rs 53 crore have been sanctioned for the project which is likely to start from March. He said, board also approved a web portal providing information about services offered under smart city.
It will also have a section for public grievances. The portal will be launched on January 15. Lucknow divisional commissioner Anil Garg, who presided over the meeting, gave directions to start integrated traffic management system at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan and Hazratganj crossings on pilot basis at the earliest. He directed officers to make a plan for constructing underground parking lot in front of collectorate.
