GURUGRAM: A 32-year-old man was shot at in Dundahera village on Monday evening as his bike allegedly touched the accused’s foot.

Santosh Kumar Mahto, who works at a private company in Aligarh, had come to Gurugram on Sunday with a friend to meet his relatives. On Monday, Santosh’s friend — Upender — went to meet a friend in Jwala Mill area while Santosh went to meet his relative in Sirhaul village. After spending the day at his relative’s place, Santosh asked Upender to join him. As Upender is new to the city, he asked Santosh to pick him up from Dundahera village.

“My relative and I reached Dundahera on two bikes. We had parked our bikes by the roadside and were waiting for Upender. After meeting him, I was turning my bike when it touched a man’s foot. They were three of them. Though I apologised, the man started bad-mouthing me. Suddenly he pulled out a gun and fired a shot that hit my leg. They soon stopped an autorickshaw, sat on it and fled,” Santosh told police in his complaint.

After receiving a PCR call, a police team reached the spot and took Santosh to Civil Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. An FIR was registered under Section 307 (attempt to murder) against the trio at Udyog Vihar police station.
