
Telangana CM demands Muslim, ST quota in proposed Bill
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday, instructed the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MPs to seek inclusion of provisions for providing 12 % reservations to the “economically weaker” sections of Muslims in the State and 10 % reservations for STs in Center’s new Bill covering economically backward classes among forward castes in the country.

It is to be mentioned that on Sunday, the Modi government introduce 10 % reservations for all EBCs among upper castes in education and Central Jobs.
However the Telangana Legislative Assembly had passed resolutions seeking proposed 12% reservations to Muslims and 10% to STs and sent them to the Centre but the issue is still pending with the Central government.
