ED had sought a non-bailable warrant against Manoj Arora

Two days after the Enforcement Directorate moved a Delhi court seeking issuance of an open-ended non-bailable warrant against Robert Vadra’s alleged personal assistant Manoj Arora in a money laundering case, Mr. Arora on Monday sought anticipatory bail in the case.

The application is scheduled to be heard by Special Judge Sunil Rana on Tuesday. The ED’s NBW application is also posted for hearing by a different court on the same day.

The ED has alleged that Mr. Arora was aware of overseas undeclared assets of Mr. Vadra and was instrumental in arranging funds for such properties.

The ED started a probe on the basis of digital evidence recovered by the Income Tax Department during raids on the premises of Sanjay Bhandari, a fugitive arms dealer.

Mr. Arora was absconding following a raid at his premises and had evaded summons issued to him on three dates.
