Now, no Hindi film is complete without Punjabi track, says lyricist Jaani

The lyricist in the B Praak-Jaani duo, says that seven of their Punjabi songs have been taken by various Hindi films, after Soch Na Sakey. “Nowadays, Bollywood films are incomplete without having at least one Punjabi track,” says Jaani, lyricist of blockbusters like Soch, Jaguar, Qismat etc. Their other songs to be featured soon include Jaguar, Do You Know, Qismat, Mann Bharrya, Jaani Tera Naa. Besides these, there are few of my other unreleased compositions too which will be included in films. Though Jaani doesn’t like the concept of redoing iconic tracks, he feels, “These are classic numbers. So, if I am refurbishing them, I need to be extra creative and talented. I feel scared to touch these masterpieces as I don’t want to ruin them. When you take such project, you are competing not only with its fans but also with the greatest artiste.”
