2 killed in road accidents
Jan 7, 2019, 23:23 ISTTirupur: Two people were killed in road accidents in the district in the last two days.
A Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus knocked down the motorcycle carrying A Raman and his wife R Palanal,45, of Chinnakadapalayam near Sengapalli while it was passing through Dharapuram Road at Koyil Vazhi. Palanal died on the spot. The couple was construction workers, police sources said.
A truck mowed down the motorcycle of P Ramachandran of Nanjapillaipudur near Madathukulam on Kannivadi to Aravakurichi Road near Moolanur on Saturday. Though the 59-year-old man was rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead.
