NEW DELHI: Singing, dancing and waving massive flags, India's cricket fans were in party mode as Virat Kohli’s men defeated Australia in their own backyard to clinch their first-ever Test series win in Australia.
After the win, Team India showed their dancing skills and entertained the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) crowd with their victory dance.
After the visiting team won the Adelaide and Melbourne Test of the series, the fifth and final Test at the SCG ended in a draw as no play was possible on the last day due to bad weather and India clinched the series 2-1.
Captain Kohli termed his team's historic 2-1 series win on Australia soil as his "biggest achievement" which will give the current team a "different identity".
"By far this is my best achievement. Has to be on top of the pile. When we won the World Cup, I was a young player. I saw the others getting emotional. This series will give us a different identity as a team. What we've been able to achieve is something to be really proud of," Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
