A one-year-old girl has drowned in a ditch 50 metres from her parents' farm house.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Maronan Valetta Rd in Ashburton, New Zealand, at 5.20pm on Sunday.
The girl was found unresponsive in the body of water.

She was flown in a rescue helicopter to Christchurch Hospital on New Zealand's south island, where medical experts desperately tried to save her.
However, she was later pronounced dead, Stuff reported.
Police investigations were ongoing on Monday morning and WorkSafe has been made aware of the child's death.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
Senior Sergeant Matt Emery extended his sympathies to the family.
The officer said the girl's family have been put in contact with Victim Support, an organisation providing round-the-clock support for victims of serious crime and trauma.
