Bhopal: The maiden session of Madhya Pradesh’s newly-constituted 15th Assembly is scheduled to commence on Monday and will be a five-day affair, Vidhan Sabha Secretariat sources said.
The inaugural day is to witness oath-taking by members; the Speaker’s election and the Governor’s address are on the second day’s agenda. Congress sources averred that a Legislature Party meeting is taking place here this evening in the presence of Chief Minister Kamal Nath, state in-charge Dipak Babaria, erstwhile Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, Rajya Sabha Member Vivek K Tankha and other stalwarts.
A corresponding gathering of the BJP–to be conducted late Monday at the BJP state headquarters with central observers Rajnath Singh and Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe in attendance.
