AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has banned videography and photography in the Golden Temple complex.
Additional manager, SGPC, Rajinder Singh Ruby informed TOI on Monday that SGPC had decided to not allow any kind of photography and videography in the premises of Sikh’s one of the most revered places, Golden Temple.
The SGPC has also put up boards in the Golden Temple stating “Photography and videography is strictly prohibited in the precincts of the Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), the spiritual centre of the world”.
However, the decision has been taken without any explanation and the Manager and the SGPC president Gonind Singh Longowal are silent on the ban.
