Indore: A guard of Special Armed Force (SAF) posted at the bungalow of a judge allegedly opened fire on a senior rank policeman of the same battalion. According to information, the accused chased the senior before firing at him. City Superintendent of Police (Sanyogitaganj) Jyoti Umath informed that the incident took place near Traffic Park in Residency Area around 9.30 pm on Sunday.
The injured identified as head constable Rajkumar Yadav is from a battalion of SAF and drives the vehicle that distributes food to policemen deployed at the bungalows of senior officials. Yadav reached the bungalow of a judge where constable Rahul Yaduwanshi was posted as guard. When Yadav gave food to Yaduwanshi, he started arguing about quantity of food. After the argument, Yadav left the spot to give food to others but the accused chased him and had heated argument with Yadav.
The situation turned so intense that Yaduwanshi opened fire on Yadav and fled the scene. The bullet hit Yaday’s shoulder. People in the area immediately informed the police and rushed the injured to MY Hospital. CSP Umath along with senior police officials reached at the hospital and later investigated the spot. The condition of injured is stated to be out of danger. The crime scene comes under Sanyogitaganj police station jurisdiction and the accused was on the run till filing this report.
