'We bought a tin of tomatoes about a year ago and a bone was sitting right on top of the can when the missus opened it and we thought 'whoa, look at that s**t',' Mr Furey told NT News

Mr Furey said he has not been put off canned food but immediately changed the brand of tomatoes he buys.

He said he never found out what the bone was, but he has his suspicions.

'It looked like part of a face or a head and it's the right size for a mouse, just because of the joints at each end,' he said. 'You'd probably eat it and not notice.'

Mr Furey believes he'll never able to forget the moment he opened the can. 'You can't unsee that s**t,' he said.
