Public transport vehicles and boats are unlikely to operate on Tuesday and Wednesday since workers of private and KSRTC buses, autorickshaws and ferries operated by the SWTD will join the nation-wide general strike.
It is unclear whether online taxis will operate on those two days.
This will leave commuters in the city largely with the metro and trains for travel.
