FALL RIVER — Police are investigating after three people were stabbed during unrelated incidents over the weekend, according to police.

A man, whose age and city of residence was not released, was stabbed inside Ships Cove Apartments at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. A police source said the man is expected to survive.

The man was initially taken to an area hospital, then transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

About 20 minutes later, a 19-year-old Fall River man walked into Charlton Memorial Hospital with wounds on his forearm and wrist.

The man refused to tell investigators the location where he had been stabbed or whether he knew the identity of his assailant, according to Detective John Robinson.

The 19-year-old was treated and released.

On Sunday at about 8:57 p.m., a 35-year-old Fall River man was stabbed on Bank Street.

A police source said the man is being treated for a wound to his face at Rhode Island Hospital. Investigators are trying to identify a suspect.
