Walmart Ad Gathers Most Famous Movie Cars To Pickup Groceries

Walmart is kicking off 2019 in style with one of the funniest and most spectacular car-related commercials we’ve seen in a long time.

For the biggest and first-ever cross-platform national marketing campaign for its Grocery Pickup program, Walmart has chosen to feature many (if not all) of the most famous movie cars ever created. The new campaign, titled “Famous Cars,” features the iconic vehicles as they arrive at the store to have their trunks loaded with groceries by Walmart employees.

Walmart did more than just pick famous cars from iconic movies — the company also worked with a variety of Hollywood studios to gain access to those vehicles. As a result, the cars look just like in the movies, contributing to the commercial’s authenticity.

The commercial features everything from Knight Rider’s talking K.I.T.T. to the Batmobile, the DeLorean time machine, Lightning McQueen and many more. By using such a wide variety of cars in the commercial, the retailer wants to tell people its Grocery Pickup program is for everyone, regardless of what car they drive.

Famous cars aside, the video features some of the characters from said movies, including some cheeky little dinosaurs from Jurassic Park, Scooby, Fred Flintstone, Bumblebee and more. As you can imagine, the grocery pickup process doesn’t go that smoothly for everyone — especially the unsuspecting Walmart staff.

Besides the TV commercials you can watch below, the campaign also consists of social media, online videos, and radio spots. Without further ado, we now dare you to recognize all the famous cars that star in the ad. We know we tried but we’re sure we missed some of them.
