In separate incidents, two men were shot dead by unidentified attackers in the city.
In the first incident, a 28-year-old restaurant owner, identified as Anil Maan alias Bantu, was allegedly shot by unidentified people in Rohini's KN Katju area, police said.
The incident took place on Friday evening after Maan, a resident of Kheda Khurd village, came out of his restaurant along with three of his friends, they said. He was sitting in his car when a car came and some assailants fired on him from the car. Mann was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, said Rajneesh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini).
His friends were left unharmed in the assault.
He has two cases against him in 2017, including that of an attempt to murder.
In another case, a 35-year-old factory supervisor was shot dead in Shadara. The deceased identified as Hariom Sharma was a resident of Gokulpuri. Investigations revealed that Sharma worked as a supervisor in the factory where he was shot, police said. Sharma sustained bullet shots on head and stomach. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police are examining CCTV footage to identify the accused and ascertain the exact sequence of events, a senior police officer said. A case has been registered and the matter is being probed, he said.
