Vadodara: A day after three men attacked M S University students, the police have launched hunt for them. The cops said that they raided the homes of the accused but couldn’t locate them on Monday. The incident has once again raised the issue of illegal roadside stalls near MSU boys hostel campus.
On Sunday, three MSU students were attacked by owner of a roadside stall and two others over parking issue. One of the students of commerce faculty Ankit Vaghela had gone to the spot to have some food on Sunday in a car with his friends. They attacked Ankit and his friends. “The accused also looted Ankit’s gold chain worth Rs 50,000 and Rs 5,000 cash. We have begun search for the accused. They live in the slums nearby,” the police said.
When asked about the prime accused Hitesh, Sayajigunj police inspector, Haresh Vora said that his mother allegedly sold liquor. The police and MSU’s vigilance team later removed all the roadside stalls outside the boys hostel.
