PATNA: Braving the winter chill, hundreds of Patnaites stood in long queues outside Don Bosco Academy and Mary Ward Kindergarten to buy admission forms for their kids in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

The process of admission to Montessori classes (2019-20 session) has begun in several prominent city schools. Some schools, on the other hand, are ahead in the race. St Michael’s and St Xavier’s High School, for instance, have stopped distributing forms and are conducting interviews. Delhi Public School (DPS) is reported to have finished its first phase of admissions during the first week of November. The remaining seats will be filled in February through its website www.dpspatna.com.

Carmel High School will sell offline forms for admission to lower kindergarten (LKG) from 9am on January 10 and 11. The total number of seats is 180.

DAV-BSEB will start selling offline forms, priced at Rs 1,000 each, at its administrative block in Board Colony from January 15. The last date of submission is January 22.

“Almost 80% of our seats are reserved for the children of state energy department employees. If the number of forms exceeds the number of seats, we will adopt lottery system,” said DAV-BSEB teacher Balram Singh.

St Karen’s Primary School will start the admission process from January 6. While online forms will be available on the school’s website www.stkarensprimaryschool.com, offline forms can be obtained from the school counter by paying Rs 650 each.
