The biopic of Indian PM Narendra Modi is clearly one of the much-awaited films of 2019. The unit is already gearing up for the film’s poster launch, just a few days after the news of Vivek Oberoi stepping in to play Modi, hit headlines. For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, a film poster will be released in 23 different languages. Maharashtra’s CM Devendra Fadnavis has been roped in to launch the poster on January 7 and unveil the first look of Vivek Oberoi.

According to a source, “Sandeep Singh, producer of the film, and Vivek came up with the idea of roping in the CM for the unveiling. When the makers approached him, he readily agreed. The event is scheduled to take place at the Garware Club House in South Mumbai. Apart from Vivek’s look, it is expected that the makers will also announce the release date. The team acquired the necessary permissions to go forth with the film only a few weeks ago. Vivek has been working on his distinct looks and will be part of extensive workshops. A big chunk of the film will be shot in Gujarat, apart from other states.”

PM Narendra Modi has been under work for three years. The producer-director duo Singh and Omung Kumar are coming together yet again for this film after having worked on Sarbjit in the past. This biopic will narrate the journey of Modi from being a tea seller to his rise as the PM. The film is expected to roll later this month.
