Indore: Raising concern over women health, state Governor Anandiben Patel on Saturday said, “The government has been running various schemes for improving health of women but over 40 per cent of them are still unaware of it.”
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Nation Conference of Federation of Family Physicians of India at Brilliant Convention Centre on Saturday, she said, “Family physicians know about the problems of each member of the family and they give them right consultation and treatment.
However, the number of family physicians has been decreasing.” She appealed to the physicians to take part in improving women’s health across the nation and to become ideal by working in rural areas. The governor also stressed on TB free India and said that not only the health department but the school education department should also work in collaboration as the teacher must know about the health status of children in his/her class. She also emphasized on invention of vaccination for treating new diseases.Various research papers will be presented by physicians in the conference on Sunday.
