A woman has been crushed and airlifted to hospital after being run over by a boulder weighing 100 kilograms.
The woman, in her 40s, was hiking through steep terrain on a private property in Gympie, regional Queensland, when the horrific accident occurred.
Her sister, who was walking in front of her, accidentally dislodged a boulder while the pair made their way up a steep hill.

The woman was flown to hospital by RACQ LifeFlight from the Sunshine Coast after paramedics managed to transport her to a clearing on the property (stock image of aircraft)
That boulder then made its way down the hill, knocked the woman over and rolled straight over the top of her.
The woman, who is believed to be in her 40's, was rescued when a helicopter arrived at about 6:30pm on Saturday.
She was flown to hospital by RACQ LifeFlight from the Sunshine Coast after paramedics managed to transport her to a clearing on the property.
Her sister was also taken to hospital with minor injuries, including a suspected broken limb and possible chest injuries, according to the Courier Mail.
