HYDERABAD: 67 girls from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Chevella in Ranga Reddy district were taken to local hospital after presenting with symptoms of food poisoning.
The girls had eaten fruit salad before dinner at their hostel mess last night. By 8am in the morning, 67 out of 191 developed severe stomach pain and vomiting and had to be taken to the Chevella Government Hospital.
While 37 of them are sent back to the hostel after administering the required treatment, 30 of them are being shifted to Niloufer Hospital.
The child-right activists, meanwhile, blamed hostel warden and other staff for the incident and demanded their suspension.
