Indian football skipper Sunil Chhetri who scored a brace in the historic 4-1 win against Thailand said that the victory was more special after knowing he made a country proud even if it was for a day.
Considering the bigger picture, this is a good but small start. But I'll talk about just this game - it was bloody brilliant to be a part of the way my team went about things. And it's even more special knowing we made a country happy, even if it is only for a day.

.@chetrisunil11: I said it before, we are not easy to play against. We are not the most technical team but we never stop fighting and that's why we won tonight!#BlueTigers #BackTheBlue #FanBannaPadega #THAIND

.@chetrisunil11: It (the win) feels good. All three teams have more experience than us. But the boys played very well today.#BlueTigers #BackTheBlue #FanBannaPadega #THAIND
