NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC NET 2018 result on its official website on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
The candidates, who had appeared for the University Grant Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 examination, can check their results from the official NTA website — ntanet.nic.in.

The UGC NET exam was conducted for the first time the NTA from December 18 to 22, 2018 in two shifts per day at around 235 cities across India. The exam was conducted for 85 subjects for which around 9,56,837 candidates had registered this year.
The exam is conducted to award Junior Research Fellowship and successful candidates can get jobs as a teacher in universities and colleges in all over India. As per the UGC policy, 6% of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers are declared NET qualified. The certificates to the qualified candidates will be issued by UGC.
RESULTS AT A GLANCE
For the first time the NTA changed the mode of the examination to Computer Based Exam.
Also, the UGC NET result was declared within a fortnight after exams, its a record, said Senior Director (UGC NET), National Testing Agency.
For the first time in nationwide professional examinations, live CCTV Surveillance through more than 8000 CCTV was carried out, added the director.
