KURUKSHETRA: The state president of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Ashok Arora on Sunday visited Kurukshetra in a New Year Meeting event at Punjabi Dharamshala with the Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe (SC/ST) Cell members of the party in Thanesar region.

While addressing the gathering, Arora said, “The opposition parties have tried every possible effort to break the unity between the INLD and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), but our alliance is intact. Sister Mayawati will be the next Prime Minister (PM) of India while Chautala will be chief minister (CM) in Haryana.”

Highlighting the participation of the working class and SC/ST societies in the politics, Arora said, “Chaudhary Devi Lal had promoted the participation of the working class and dalit mass into politics. Whenever we have allied with the working class the capitalist forces have done the mischief to break the alliance. When Chaudhary Devi Lal had united the working class to start a Congress-free India movement, the attempts were made to break this alliance and even today, the powers are afraid of the INLD-BSP coalition. But our alliance is as strong as a rock.”

Reacting to the formation of the Jannayak Janta Party, Arora said, “Since the announcement of our coalition with BSP on April 18, the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had started to work against us. When our joint movement started to gather pace, the oppositions attempted to weaken our strength by holding a weak link to our party. It is better such weak links have parted their ways on right time which would have played a role in failing us.”

The Haryana state president of BSP Prakash Bharti and INLD’s SC/ST state coordinator Baldev Balmiki were also present in the event.
