Drunk held for lewd gestures at woman guard

(Representative image)MUMBAI: A “drunk” man has been arrested for allegedly abusing a woman security staffer who works at a builder’s construction site at Agripada.
Officials of Agripada police station arrested Rajesh Maruti Kharade (26) for outraging the modesty of a woman and threatening her. Kharade has been remanded to judicial custody.
According to police officials, the accused who does odd jobs went to the construction site and started giving food to a few stray dogs.
“When the woman bouncer objected to his feeding the dogs and asked Kharade to go out of the construction site, the accused allegedly abused the woman,” said a police officer. He allegedly taunted at her and also made lewd gestures, said the officer.
The police also said that the accused was in an inebriated condition at the time the offence took place.
