Emergency landing of Hong Kong-Delhi flight at Varanasi airport due to technical snag
Rajeev Dikshit | TNN | Jan 6, 2019, 19:36 ISTVARANASI: A Boeing 737 Max SpiceJet flight on Hong Kong-Delhi route made an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport due to a snag in the left engine on Sunday.
According to director LBS International Airport Anil Kumar Rai, around 10 am the air traffic control was alerted for an emergency landing of this flight. After initiating all precautions, the emergency landing was ensured and all 140 passengers were safe.
The passengers of this flight stayed at the airport for over eight hours till the airline officials arranged a special flight from Delhi in the afternoon. Rai said that after the arrival of the special flight all the passengers boarded and departed for Delhi at 6.30 pm.
