Sudhanshu Pandey: Best part of the weekend is more sleep

Getting more sleep

The best part of the weekends is I don’t have to wake up very early in the morning, which allows me to get a couple of hours’ extra sleep on the weekend, which is one of the things I look forward to and makes my weekend more interesting.

Ideal weekend

The ideal weekend is mostly spent at home with the kids…spending time with the family rejuvenates me and that is what an ideal weekend for me is about.

Memorable weekends wine!

What makes for a memorable weekend is when the whole family goes out for a dinner…good ambience, nice music, sit down and have a good meal with family is what makes my weekends more memorable. Memorable weekends also don’t normally happen in Mumbai…they mostly happen only when we are travelling abroad. One of my favourite places is Dubai and when we go there during a weekend, we go out to the malls and shop. The malls over there have so much energy that it feels nice and positive just walking around. These are some of the memories we have created of the weekends when we travel abroad and, even my kids always remember those times.

Favourite meals

I am a pure vegetarian, so a meal I look forward to on the weekends is North Indian black dal with some nice kulcha and a paneer dish…I am a very North Indian kind of a person and a pure vegetarian as well, so I don’t have too many choices. My favourite drink on the weekend would be a glass of wine which I sip on…relish and enjoy.

Movie time

On the weekend there is no such hobby in particular that I catch up on, because during the week I am training and working out. So, on the weekend I normally rest unless we go out for a movie or something. It is also a time when we do things that we can’t do throughout the week.

Craving breaks

It is not very often that we get to go out of Mumbai on the weekends, because there is so much going on in our profession and it is not very often that you get weekends off. As an actor you could be shooting on a Saturday and a Sunday as well…it is not a 9 to 5 job. So, whenever I do get a weekend off, I like to spend it by spending quality time with my family, having meals together, talking and basically having a very good time.
