The Delhi BJP will undertake a bid to “create positive energy” to counter the “negative atmosphere being created by the Opposition” as well as a world record for the most khichdi prepared in one utensil at the Ramlila Maidan here on Sunday.
The Bhim Mahasangam Programme being organised by the BJP SC Morcha had been named after, and would be dedicated to Baba Saheb Ambedkar, who, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari dubbed “the great champion of the exploited, deprived and oppressed.”
“We have collected a fistful of rice and lentils from the people of the SC community as a symbol of support and pledge to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister yet again...The event will witness the making of a new world record, held currently by Nagpur Chef Vishnu Manohar for cooking 3,000 kg food in one utensil, by himself... He will now create a new record by cooking 5,000 kg of samrasta khichdi in one utensil,” Mr. Tiwari said.
He said that party workers had collected ingredients for the khichdi over the last three months in return for bags detailing the work of the Modi government for the community since it was formed. “The SC Morcha workers contacted 14 lakh people through the sankalp patras. They have also apprised them about Centre’s public welfare schemes through these,” he said.
“This positive energy, which will be created at the Ramlila Maidan against the negative politics of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress, will bring positivity for the society and not only the party, but the nation will win and negativity will be defeated,” he added. Programme convener and Delhi BJP vicepresident Abhay Verma said that the programme will host and feed 25,000 people.
