AMBALA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun its ground work for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections as the state president of the party, Subhash Barala, on Friday held a meeting with the Shakti Kendra heads in Ambala.
When questioned about the preparation of the Jind by-polls, Barala told media persons, “We are organizationally prepared for the Jind by-polls and our workers are already working according to the duties assigned. Secondly, on Thursday a meeting on the party’s election committee was called-in and two observers, minister O P Dhankar and former minister Sudha Yadav, were appointed for the Jind elections. We have received nearly 12 applications for candidates for Jind polls and once the report is submitted by the observers, the candidate will be announced soon.”
Answering a question on assembly elections, Barala said, “We are fully prepared for both the elections, it is definite that the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted according to its scheduled time. Last government in Haryana was elected in October and the assembly elections will also be conducted during that time.”
