Ujjain: Collector Manish Singh inspected agricultural land of Mhaidpur tehsil along with MLA Bahadur Singh Chouhan on Friday. Here rabi crop was destroyed by fog. They visited Village Lambikhedi, Ragahvi, Balara, Khedakhajuriya and Pipalyanath where crops like coriander, potato and gram were severely affected by frost.
Singh asked the officers and patwaris of the region to hold camps at the village level and estimate the crop loss. He further held meeting with officials at Community Hall, Mahidpur during which public representatives and farmers let him know about the extent of damage caused by frost. He also asked the officials to inform farmers about the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and motivates them to get registered under it so that farmers can get benefits of the scheme.
