Embattled tycoon Vijay Mallya declared a 'fugitive economic offender. The special PMLA court has made the declaration. The court at the same time refused Mallya's application to stay the order to give him some time to appeal. The ED had moved a special court, seeking to declare him a fugitive under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act (FEOA). Relevantly last month, the court had rejected Mallya's plea seeking a stay on hearing of ED’s application to declare him a fugitive.
