PATIALA: The police here have booked some unidentified persons under sections of IPC including illegal confinement after a 50-yr-old man had gone missing.
The complainant is wife of the missing person identified as Jangir Singh. She alleged that her husband had gone missing since December 22 evening after he went out of home for some work but did not return.
Dalwinder Kaur of Niyamatpur village had lodged the complaint with Julkan police and claimed in her statement that Jangir was carrying some amount of cash with him when he went outside. She added that some of her labourer also knew this and that's why she is suspicious of the farm labourers.
Jangir, a small farmer in Niyamatpur village, has been ploughing his agricultural fields on contract basis. The complainant Dalwinder Kaur revealed that Jangir had brought the cash to clear the bills of the hospital after getting their son discharged from hospital.
"My son had gone abroad for work but after return he was hospitalized following a pain in his stomach. The doctors operated him and we got him discharged on December 21 whereas his father Jangir Singh has gone missing since December 22. The police have registered the case after number of days have passed though we filed the complaint on same day." Dalwinder added.
The police however claimed that the probe into the matter was on but they are still clueless about the whereabouts of Jangir Singh. The police added that the case was registered soon after the complaint landed and said that family kept searching the missing person on their own.
