Now, throwing waste material on railway tracks will land you in Jail as railways has warned the people for registering FIR for such offences. The Railways has started awareness campaign and announced that if people continue to throw waste material on railway tracks then Railway will register FIR. GM of Northern Railways TP Singh said that it is the responsibility of people to maintain cleanliness on railway tracks and at railway stations. The railways are doing their job of maintaining cleanliness but if the people will throw waste material on tracks then railway will lodge FIR against guilty. TP Singh said that first the people will be made aware of maintaining cleanliness but later they will lodge FIR. He further said that it is the responsibility of state government to provide formal information of events near the railway tracks or avoid giving permissions to stop accidents. Replying to a query, GM said that there is no provision of starting bullet train on Ludhiana- Delhi or Ludhiana ferozepur Rail line.
