Koppal police have registered a case of suicide the reason of which is not yet known.
Shekharaiah's being farmer family, it is elieved that suicide was a fallout of the loan burden.
His elder daughters - Basamma and Gouramma - were married while third daughter Savithri's marriage was fixed recently. Shekharaiah had taken loans in his village too for his daughter's marriage.
Agriculture minister Shivashankara Reddy, who visited the house, has expressed shock. "It is very sad and the government will help the family. The investigation will reveal the cause of the suicide," he added.
