Rabbit Run is aimed at being the first serious run for kids on a big scale. Creating a running brand primarily for kids would resonate with kids. The underlying idea is not inspiring to win, but to participate. The key goal was to get kids excited about exercise and to change the perception that exercise was hard work. And to ensure that the practice is inculcated in kids in the early years, the target audience for Rabbit Run are kids between the age range of 3-14 years, with kids between 9-14 who can participate in the timed 5k run that is competitive. The event would have both competitive as well as non-competitive runs.
The goal behind “The Rabbit Run” over the course of time is to implement at least 10 influential runs all across the country while creating an impact over 100,000 kids. However, numbers aren’t the ultimate goal for ShriramRamdas and his team. The prime goal here is to add a dash of fun with exercise in the long run. A culture where parents run along with children to promote better health while having fun is what drives this super-new initiative by Shriram.
The Rabbit Run is a brand new brand created by Sport Focus Investments Pvt Ltd and Shriram’s venture owns the brand along with Phantom Ideas who have a minority stake.
The Rabbit Run is currently escalating higher towards a better growth curve. The Rabbit Run is all about families running together towards a healthier future. The venture has partnered with major sponsors like First Cry and Myntra to market the initiative to existing customers. With an idea centrally serving the kids, the brand aims to create a refreshing and exciting turn-around for children as they run and play.
Talking about Rabbit Run, Shriram says “We hope that by creating a running platform for kids, and to scale it all India and to do it consistently will be the key objective. By doing the above we hope this creates a culture of running for kids. Please note we believe that there is already a decent culture of running especially in the last 10 years. All we hope is that the Rabbit Run platform helps further in strengthening that focus for kids.”
