Sculptor Manju Kukkarahalli has opened an art space called the Baadal Art Gallery to provide a platform for artists to exhibit their works and hold interactions between professionals and amateurs on topics related to art. Speaking to us, Manju says, “There are not enough art platforms in Mysuru, so I decided to open a space where artists can showcase their works free of cost. Artist Baadal Nanjundaswamy inspired me to become an artist, so I decided to name the art space after him. I am hoping that the space will be utilised in the right manner by budding artists to reach greater heights.” Baadal adds, “No artist should suffer from a lack of venues or be without the right platform to nurture his/her talent. I am honoured that Manju has named the gallery after me.”
