AMBALA: District food supplies controller (DFSC) Nishant Rathee has said 112 out of the 100 families in Ambala have the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) connections.
During a press conference Rathee said, “In Ambala, almost all the families already have the LPG connections. Till date, under the other priority household (OHP) scheme, we had received a total of 1305 applications, out of which only 409 applicants are found eligible for the connection, while the other 896 forms are either rejected or are under inspection as they already had a connection at their home. Ambala ranks second in availing the most number of connections under the OHP, while Bhiwani tops the list with 655 connections. Sirsa sits at the bottom with only eight.”
Under the PM Ujjwala scheme, the beneficiaries are given Rs 1,600 by the government and Rs 633 to be paid by the subscriber. Now, under the OHP, the main focus is on facilitating the connections to those families which do not have any connection at their house.
