The accused, identified as Naeem, was arrested from Meerut.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly providing weapons to members of a suspected Islamic State-inspired terror group who were arrested recently.

The accused, identified as Naeem, was arrested from Meerut on Thursday night, an NIA official said. He was brought to a city court on Friday and sent to 10-day police custody.

On December 26, the probe agency busted a suspected IS-inspired terror group, Harkat ul Harb e Islam, and arrested 10 men, including a ‘mufti’ from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.

The group is called ‘Harkatul Harb-e-Islam’, which loosely translated into war for the cause of Islam, the official said.
