The accused who attacked a builder at a Belapur court are still at large. The victim, Narendra Patel (32), who had seen the face of the attackers, has denied the role of the 15 people interrogated by the Navi Mumbai Crime Branch so far.
Mr. Patel claimed that during the scuffle with the two attackers inside the Judicial Magistrate First Class court, they snatched his handkerchief and wiped the blood and fingerprints off the knife. They then dumped the knife at the spot and fled.
The incident took place when Mr. Patel went for a hearing of a civil dispute case, in which he is the applicant. A case has been filed against the accused.
