The Zilla Parishad general body meeting held here on Thursday witnessed a mood of mutual cooperation between the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and the opposition Congress party, with both of them jointly singing the development song. The meeting was presided over by chairperson Rajamani Murali Yadav. Soon after the meeting commenced, Rajamani said that no policy decisions can be taken as model code of conduct was in place due to panchayat elections and any problems would be addressed after that.
Intervening, the Congress lone MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy urged the government to allot house sites for 40,000 persons and sanction a medical college for Sangareddy. He recalled that it was a promise by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He promised to welcome the Chief Minister to lay the foundation stone for the medical college. He also assured he would not criticise the ruling party and requested the TRS members to cooperate for development.
Welcoming the comments made by Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy, Lok Sabha member K. Prabhakar Reddy said the Chief Minister would fulfil the election promise and medical college will be sanctioned for Sangareddy shortly.
Andol MLA Ch. Kranthi Kiran urged the authorities to hold a special camp in tandas as many were suffering with dengue fever. He has also complained that Rythu Bandhu was not credited to the accounts of several farmers and suggested the officers concerned to look into the issue.
