Twitter is a strange place. While some are shot to fame for their relatable content, some become infamous for the backlash they receive on the Internet.
After Black Mirror's new 'episode', which has been sweeping the social media for being the alternative-ending interactive 'film', one that lets you choose your own ending, has perhaps had a bit more than the intended effect on one of the actors from the episode.
Bafta award-winning actor Will Poulter, who stars as Colin Ritman, a game developer in 'Bandersnatch' of Black Mirror, has been receiving quite a bit of backlash after the episode dropped on the streaming website Netflix.
Before the episode aired, Poulter had tweeted that he was 'nervous' about it. 'Bandersnatch' is a first of its kind - an interactive film which lets you choose your own ending. However, after the episode aired, Colin started getting hate comments regarding his appearance which were derogatory in nature.
A week after getting trolled, Poulter decided to quit Twitter.
In his tweet, Poulter thanked fans for the positive reactions he had received post 'Bandersnatch' and after the news of his announcement of him quitting Twitter to separate his 'social life' from his real.
