This is the heartwarming moment a husband gave his wife of 67 years a new diamond engagement ring after she lost hers at her nursing home.
Patricia May Johnson, 85, burst into tears at the family gathering in DeKalb, Illinois when husband Don Johnson surprised her with the ring.
Last May, Patricia's original ring went missing at her nursing home after she had taken it off and placed it in a jewelry box because of a hand injury.
Her fingers had become too swollen for the ring and she was sure that she put it in the box on her dresser, though she couldn't find it later.

Family members surrounded the happy couple at the gathering and watched as Patricia opened the gift.
Tears flew freely as relatives realised what was in the box after Patricia had spent a few moments trying to open it.
As the room filled with excited noise, Patricia and Don shared a touching kiss.

Patricia was stunned by the gift and couldn't control her emotions after she opened the box with the ring in it
Speaking to Global News, daughter Diane Hawkins said: 'She showed everyone. She almost blinds you with it showing it off.'
She also revealed how she had to sneak her father out of his nursing home to go and buy the ring after he told her he wanted to surprise Patricia.
She said: 'We had to lie to get him out of the nursing home. We said Dad had a speech appointment.'
Don has Parkinson’s disease and so struggles to talk and move.
Patricia, who stays with Don at the nursing home, tried to join them on their trip to by the ring because the couple are 'inseparable'.
However, Diane and Don managed to sneak off and pick the ring up in secret.
Their excited family members showed the new engagement ring off and couldn't hide their joy
