South Africa is already leading by 1-0 in the series and on the 1st day they made a giant strides in trying to make it 2-0. In an extended second session, Pakistan was all out for 177 after Faf du Plessis opted to bowl. Duanne Olivier once again led the pace attack with four wickets and others chipped in too. Sarfraz Ahmed and Shan Masood provided some resistance but once their wickets fell, rest remained a formality for the Proteas.
South Africa scored 123 and will get their batting in the final session at Newlands with almost 35 overs left to be played. Sarfraz scored 56 for Pakistan and Masood chipped in with 44. Olivier’s four-fer was matched by Steyn’s three and two by Rabada.
