Kannada Sahitya Sammelana set to kickstart in Dharwad today

The 84th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana begins in Dharwad today. Preparations for the three-day event have been on in full swing in the twin cities of Hubballi and Dharwad. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, with Chandrashekhar Kambar presiding over the event. One of the biggest talking points of the event, which was initially slated to be held in December last year, will be the debate over the primary medium of instruction in Karnataka. Compared to the previous edition, there is a significant increase in the number of delegate registrations this time. The organisers expect to see around four lakh visitors at this edition of the event.
