GREATER NOIDA: The 65-year-old retired official of Castrol India Limited, who was found dead in his apartment in NSG Society at Kasna on Wednesday, committed suicide by hanging 15-20 days ago, the autopsy report suggests. Police found a handwritten suicide note in the same room as the decomposed body of the deceased. “I am hanging myself till death. I am taking this decision to end this life,” the note said.
The deceased, identified as Narayan Kumar Shinde (65), a retired manager from Castrol India limited, lived alone for the past two years after separation from his wife. The decomposed body was found hanging from the ceiling fan on January 2 at around 10am at his flat in the NSG Society by one of his acquaintances who had come to check on him after multiple calls made to Shinde were not answered.
“The autopsy report suggests the reason for death as ‘choking’ and that the senior citizen died almost 15 to 20 days ago. The family of the senior citizen has not made any complaint, said the SHO of Kasna police station. tnn
