ECR cancels 12 pairs of trains from January 14 to 27

PATNA: The railways has cancelled at least 12 pairs of mail and express trains from January 14 to 27 due to track maintenance and improvement works to be carried out at Son Nagar Junction under the Mughalsarai division of the East Central Railway (ECR). It has also diverted the routes of 32 pairs of passenger trains during this period.
According to ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar, the Patna-Barkakana passenger (13347/13348) and Patna-Singrauli Link Express (23347/23348) will remain cancelled from January 14 to 27, Tata Nagar-Amritsar Express (18103/18104) from January 16 to 25 and the Ranchi-Varanasi Express (18611/18612) from January 14 to 26. Similarly, the Dhanbad-Kolhapur Express (11045/11046) will be cancelled from January 21 to 28 while the Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express (13151/13152) will remain cancelled from January 17 to 27, followed by Shalimar-Gorakhpur Express (15021/15022) on January 21 and 22 and Kolkata-Ghazipur City Express (22323/22324) from January 17 to 24.
“The Puri-Anand Vihar Express (12875/12876) will be cancelled from January 18 to 23, Patna-Gaya-Bhabua Road passenger (13243/13244) from January 17 to 27 and the Kolkata-Agra Cantt Express (13167/13168) from January 17 to 24,” the CPRO said.
The railways has also diverted the routes of 32 pairs of mail and express trains which were to pass through the regular Barkakana-Garhwa Road-Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction route. They will now pass via the Gomoh-Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Barkakana-Garhwa Road-Chopan-Chunar and Patna-Danapur-Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction routes, instead of Barkakana-Garhwa Road-Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Junction route from January 14 to 27.
“The diverted trains include the Ranchi-New Delhi Express (12453/12454, 12877/12878), Puri-New Delhi Express (12801/12802), Howrah-Kalka Express (12311/12312), Sealdah-Ajmer Express (12987/12988), Howrah-Jodhpur Express (123071/12308), Howrah-New Delhi Express (12381/12382), Howrah-Jaisalmer Express (12371/12372), Howrah-Lalkuan passenger (12353/12354), Sealdah-Amritsar Express (12379/12380), Sealdah-Anand Vihar Express (12329/12330), Puri-Anand Vihar Express (12815/12816), Howrah-Dehradun Express (13009/13010), Rajgir-Varanasi passenger (14223/14224) and Ajmer-Ranchi Express (18631/18632),” the CPRO said.
Besides, the railways has cancelled Dehri on Sone-Barwadih passenger (53611/53612, 63293/63294), Dehri on Sone-Gaya passenger (63289/63290, 63291/63292) and Asansol-Varanasi passenger (63553/63554) till January 27 and short terminated Barkakana-Dehri on Sone passenger, Dehri on Sone-Barwadih passenger and Barkakana-Varanasi passenger at Ankorah, Japla and Garhwa Road stations, respectively.
