A youngster arrested by the Munambam police on the charge of assaulting a woman co-worker at a resort at Cherai on New Year’s eve was remanded by a Mattancherry court on Wednesday. The accused, Srivishnu, 25, of Kayamkulam, was arrested on Tuesday on a petition lodged by the victim. He was slapped with IPC Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
