A body has been discovered in the search for a missing man whose car was found burnt out on the Denbigh Moors.
Cheshire Police confirmed the find was in North Wales, made during the search for John Hawkins, from Lymm, near Warrington.
The 51-year-old had last been seen driving his black Mitsubishi L200 Warrior 4x4 car in Bala on December 12.
The dad-of-two's vehicle was later found burnt out on the Denbigh Moors near Bylchau.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "A body has been found in North Wales. Formal identification has not taken place as of yet.
"The family of Mr Hawkins have been informed."

On Facebook, a family friend posted: "It is with great sadness that John Hawkins has been found dead.
"His sister has asked that I share this awful news on the group page.
"Our thoughts are with the family on this tragic loss."
A huge search operation was launched after his car was discovered on the moors.
Family friends carried out a search of the area around Denbigh Moors including Llyn Brenig in a bid to track him down.
