Adilabad Superintendent of Police Vishnu S. Warrier on Thursday introduced the eChallan system of traffic rules violation cashless payment of penalties in all the mandals of Adilabad district. He said this was part of modernisation of the police force in the State. Mr. Warrier said the system works with the collaboration of RTA and police computer wing. The move was to make the system transparent, he added.

Meanwhile, the SP also received 2,500 blankets donated by an NRI for distribution among the indigent people in view of the severe cold conditions. Additional SP K. Mohan, Adilabad DSP K. Narasimha Reddy, One Town CI V. Suresh, Two Town CI K. Nagaraju and Traffic CI Javvaji Suresh were among those attended the inauguraiton of the eChallan.
